Colman O'Brien, B.Eng.

Colman started his career as a Semi-conductor Engineer
with Texas Instruments where he became the companies’
youngest Country Manager. He then directed his energies
to the investment business.
For over 25 years Colman has worked for, managed and
owned investment firms (he co-founded Canada’s first
internet-based investment bank). Some of his career
highlights include being named Investment Advisor of the
Year at TD Bank for managing the largest private client
asset base, First Place in the Toronto Star investment
industry portfolio competition, nominated for
Entrepreneur of the Year (Ernst & Young) and member of
the Ontario Securities Commission committee on Advice.
In the past Colman has been Chairman of a publicly
traded Oil & Gas company and has sat on many public and
private boards. He has also financed numerous private
and public companies the most notable being ATI
Technology Inc. Canada’s largest technology IPO ever.
He holds an Honours Degree in Computer Engineering
(McMaster University) and has attended graduate school
at the Rotman School of Management (University of
Toronto) and also the University of Ottawa for post
graduate studies in business.
Coleman is
an active supporter of Sick Kids Hospital where he has
witnessed first hand the greatness of the institution.
